We are a proud Cub Scout pack that believes Scouting should be FUN!!!

Our pack has consistently earned the Quality Unit Award for the last several years. This award shows that more than 50% of our leaders have been Basic Leader Trained and that 100% of our boys receive the Boys Life subscription. In 2009 and 2010, we earned the unit Pioneer Award for attaining at least an 80% leader training rate and the Summertime Pack Award as recognition for our year-round program filled with fun summer activities!

Our pack participates in community service activities, plans fall, spring and summer Family Campouts as well as hosts the Blue and Gold Banquet and the Pinewood Derby. The pack participates in the Memorial Day Flag Placement, Scouting for Food, and the Great Allatoona Cleanup. The Annual Turkey Shoot (not real Turkeys!) and Cub Scout Day Camp are a few opportunities for boys to earn the Archery and the BB belt loops. Each pack meeting revolves around a core Scouting value such as cooperation, citizenship, respect and positive attitude. And we have a lot of fun!

Den Meetings are held on different days for different dens although many dens plan Monday meetings at 6:30 pm at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church. Exact meeting times are up to the den leader who will coordinate with the parents in the den. Pack meetings are generally held on the last Monday of the month at 6:30 pm at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in the Radiate Room.

Den meeting locations are at the discretion of the den. Pack Meetings are usually held at the Burnt Hickory Baptist Church Radiate Room on Due West Road unless otherwise noted.

New Parent Orientation

New Parent Orientation is scheduled early in September at the Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in the Activities Room (2nd floor, back of church) at 6:30pm. This meeting coincides with our normal recruiting schedule, however boys can join the pack at any time during the year. This is the meeting that teaches you more about Scouts, your role in Scouts, Pack 353 and what to buy for your son’s uniform. This meeting is required for new parents. We’ll provide trained adults to watch your children while you attend the meeting if needed.
